Attractive Quiet Dishwasher... Which one does a MN Kitchen Interior Design own?
Last year my husband & I saved and invested in a dishwasher. Not just any dishwasher we went with a Bosch, and I am SOOO happy we did and here’s why….
My dishwasher was old. I believe it was the original dishwasher that came with our home, which was built in the late 80’s /early 90’s. So, it was falling apart. We knew when we bought the house back in 2014, that we would have to purchase new appliances, but larger necessity items broke before. So, the appliances had to wait.
**Side note, make sure your furnace, air conditioner, and hot water heater are not on the fringe of breaking when you purchase a home. It was our first home together and we got the home based on location and the fenced-in backyard for our children & dog. We did not think of these items because it’s not the everyday prettiness one will see in your kitchen. Your furnace, air conditioner, and hot water heater are the behind-the-scenes items you need for your home.
Being a Certified Kitchen & Bath Designer I didn’t want to just go out and purchase a dishwasher. I wanted something that would last and that meant researching and saving. So, I did my research based on being in the industry (clients, general contractors, and appliance stores). My husband, Michel, also did his research too.
He loves Consumer Reports. That’s where we found our mini-van, our mattress, our pillows, and many other things. So naturally my husband turned to them to find our dishwasher. I knew what dishwasher I wanted but I wanted to see what Michel & Consumer Reports stated was the best.
We both agreed. Bosch is #2 in predicated reliability & owner’s satisfaction. That was the dishwasher I wanted so we went to Warners’ Stellian to see if any models were in stock. Since I am not replacing all my appliances, I had to go with white because I currently have a micro-hood, range, & refrigerator all in white.
**Another Side note, if you know me you are aware I am not a fan of the micro-hood because they are mounted too high for me & they are trying to serve two functions instead of sticking to their one.
I was amazed they had the Bosch 300 Series SHEM63W55N available and ready to install the following day. That did not work with our family nor my business schedule, so we just pushed it out a couple of days. Warners’ Stellian removed the old one, hooked up the new one, and made sure we knew how to work it before they left. It was a top-notch service that I highly recommend.
Why do I love it? It’s so quiet, (even quieter than my voice), you can do half loads, & it has a third rack. Yes, that statement is true, and the video above will even prove it. It is quiet, which I love. I do not want my dishwasher to sound like an airplane is taking off when it’s running, which was our old dishwasher. I really enjoy using the half load cycle. When our college son is away, we use the half load cycle a lot since we do not use as many dishes nor eat as much as he does. I like having that flexibility. The other great find is the 3rd rack. That’s where we put our silverware. I do not even use the silverware baskets they provided us. They are currently being stored underneath our sink.
