5 Proven Ways to Take Your Bathroom Remodel to the Next Level!

Over the past 6 months, I've had the privilege of working on numerous projects at Carpet Court. One remarkable trend I've noticed is the growing interest in owner's suite bathroom remodels. My clients seek to transform their bathrooms from outdated, cramped spaces into havens of quiet sophistication.

The common theme among these bathroom remodels is solving the clients' dilemmas. Some clients want more lighting in the bathroom, others want to update their small tub/shower combo to a shower, and some want solutions for easier clean-up after their children use the bathroom. This has made me realize that there are proven ways to elevate your bathroom remodel. Let's explore what they are:

1.     A Bidet

Yes, I will install a toilet with a bidet. I used less toilet paper and felt cleaner. The bidet even has a remote control, so I can adjust the stream and pressure as I like it. I’m a big fan, though my husband is not as sold on the idea.

2.    A Light

Yes, I would love additional lighting in my tub and shower area.  It would be useful for task-oriented items like shaving especially since I do not have a window in my owner-suite bathroom.

3.     An Additional Drain Outside the Shower or Tub Area

Let's face it - we are remodeling the owner's suite bathroom to create a peaceful oasis, but it never stays that way. The children will soon be using your bathtub because it's cooler than theirs, or they can fit their awesome toys in it better. So, would you rather clean up a big splashy mess with towels, or just squeegee it into the drain right outside the tub?

4.     Simple Tile for The Shower Walls

Yes, a couple of years ago the trend was having the shower area be the “wow” factor, which meant ornate tile, lots of color, and coordinating with different tiles in the spaces.  This was beautiful but after that trend, my clients redid their bathroom because it was visually too busy.  It was not the quiet sophistication they wanted the owner-suite bathroom to become.

5.    Diverter with Pictures

I have so much to remember and keep track of during the day. The last thing I want to do is to remember whether I should turn the hand-held shower head left or right. Having a diverter with pictures on it is genius. It's one less thing for me to remember and frees up space in my mind for other things.
